Baking has always been my favorite creative outlet, and this cake is pure nostalgia. Grandma's famous poppy seed cake is an old-fashioned pound cake finished in a warm glaze that creates the most unbelievable crackly crust.

Store at cool room temperature in an airtight cake dome or tin for up to 5 days.
No refrigeration required! In fact, room temperature keeps the pound cake crumb soft and tender and preserves the crisp crackle of the sugar glaze.
